285 E Dartmouth Ave is a 1929 home on a corner lot in Englewood, photographed for the Abell To Sell Team. Three bedrooms, three baths, shiplap accents and a wood-burning fireplace give it the kind of character that is easy to feel in person and easy to lose in a listing gallery.
Early light
We started at sunrise, when soft light raked across the gabled roof, the dark siding and the crisp white trim. The corner lot let us show the house from two sides, with the detached garage and the fenced yard reading clearly in the low sun.
Some houses feel like they were drawn by a child who loved home, and this one is a little like that: a navy blue cottage with a steep gable, a tall brick chimney up the side and a white picket fence running along the corner. Late in the year, with the trees bare and the sky going pink and violet, it looked like a holiday card. I walked the whole corner first, both streets, to find where the fence and the gable would line up just right.

Inside the house
Inside, the goal was warmth. The fireplace, the wood accents and the original proportions of the rooms carry the story, so we kept the light natural and the verticals straight with a tilt-shift lens.

Twilight
As the day ended, a twilight exterior gave the house its most welcoming frame: porch lit, windows glowing, the corner lot settling into evening.
From the front lawn, a great bare tree reaches its branches over the roof, with warm light in every window and a little porch glowing at the door. From the air, the house sits snug on its corner, and further up the drone shows the old Englewood grid stretching north under a sunset sky toward the towers of downtown Denver and the mountains along the horizon. The past and the city, both close enough to reach.

A neighborhood with history
Englewood’s older blocks are full of homes like this one: built in the 1920s and 1930s, updated with care, and set on tree-lined streets close to downtown Englewood and the light rail. Listings here sell on character, so the photographs need to show the details buyers fall for, from the trim and the fireplace to the way the house meets its corner. Every image was edited by hand and delivered ready for the MLS and the Abell To Sell Team’s marketing.
