About · Our Story
We photograph places
the way they feel.
Architectural Storytelling is a Denver studio for architectural, real estate and hospitality photography and film. Since 2011 we have made pictures of homes, hotels and buildings across Colorado for the people who sell them, design them and live in them.

Why we started
TJ Romero founded the studio with one idea: a photograph of a building should tell you what it is like to stand inside it. Where the light lands at four in the afternoon, how the stair turns, what the kitchen feels like on a slow Sunday.
Fifteen years later that is still the brief, whether the place is a Wash Park bungalow, a lodge in Vail or a clinic in Boulder.
How we work
Every project starts with looking. We walk the space before the camera comes out, find the frames that carry the story and shape the light by hand. Tilt-shift lenses keep the lines true. Exposures are blended and edited one image at a time, and nothing leaves the studio on a preset.
You get the same care on a first listing as on a hotel campaign. See the process, start to finish.
Who we work with
Listing agents across the Front Range, many of whom have booked us for over a decade. Rental hosts and boutique hotels. Architects, builders and designers. Brands, clinics and offices that need a space to say something about who they are.
The team
We are a small Denver team of photographers, filmmakers and editors, trained to one standard and one way of seeing. Aerials are flown by FAA Part 107 licensed, insured pilots. TJ still reviews the work that carries our name. Meet TJ.
The air we share
One percent of every dollar you spend with us goes to permanent carbon removal through Stripe Climate. It is built into our pricing, so it never shows up on your invoice. Why we do it.
Let’s tell your story.
Choose where to begin, or call and we’ll talk it through.
