Southwest Littleton, an ongoing study

Listing photography. Digital photographs, twilight and aerial.

Trailmark, Columbine and White Deer Valley, Littleton, Colorado.

14 homes · One edge of the city

Southwest Littleton is where the city runs out of streets. Trailmark, a community of about 800 homes, sits at the base of the foothills, wrapped in Jeffco open space with Chatfield Reservoir to the south. The hogback, the same ridge of rock you see at Red Rocks, rises behind the rooftops.

The homes here are mostly two-story family houses from the last few decades. What sets one listing apart from the next is rarely the floor plan. It is the lot: which way it faces, what it backs to, and how much sky it holds at dusk.

How we photograph southwest Littleton

In this part of town the view is usually the headline, so every shoot starts with the question of what the house looks out at. A home that backs to open space gets an aerial that shows how close the trail is. A home facing the foothills gets a twilight exterior, when the windows glow warm and the ridge turns dark against the sky.

Inside, we keep the windows in play. Living rooms and primary suites are composed so the open space reads through the glass, because that is what a buyer in Trailmark is really paying for.

Who we work with here

Most of our Trailmark listings come from agents who live and sell in the area and book us home after home, which means we know the neighborhood street by street. We also photograph custom acreage in White Deer Valley, renovated ranches near downtown Littleton and family homes in Columbine.

Questions

Do you photograph homes in Trailmark?

Yes. Trailmark is one of the neighborhoods we photograph most often. We know which lots back to open space, which streets face the hogback and where the Chatfield views open up, so we plan each shoot around them.

What is the best time to photograph a home in southwest Littleton?

For homes backing to open space or facing the foothills, we usually pair a daytime set with a twilight exterior. Twilight warms the windows against the evening sky, and daytime aerials show how close the home sits to Jeffco open space and Chatfield.

Do you fly drones in Littleton?

Yes. We are FAA Part 107 certified and insured, and we check airspace before every flight. Aerials are often the most important frame in this part of Littleton, because the open space and reservoir are what buyers are paying for.

How fast do listing photos come back?

Real estate photography is delivered the next day. Add-ons like virtual staging usually follow in two business days, and never more than four.
